Job Title: Master’s Thesis in Quantum Key Distribution for Electrical Engineer
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to work on a Master’s thesis in Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and development in the field of QKD, and will be expected to work closely with a team of scientists and engineers to develop new technologies and techniques for secure communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in the field of Quantum Key Distribution
- Design and develop QKD systems and components, such as photon sources or detectors
- Implement and test QKD protocols and algorithms
- Analyze and interpret experimental results
- Write technical reports and scientific papers
- Collaborate with team members and other researchers in the field
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Possibly: Some background in quantum mechanics and cryptography
- Possibly: Familiarity with QKD protocols and systems
- Experience with experimental design and data analysis
- Possibly: Programming skills, preferably in Python or MATLAB
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
